At Midwife Data Community, we are a family-driven team passionate about supporting independent midwives and healthcare professionals. What started as a personal project has grown into a trusted platform for managing pregnancy and birth records with ease and efficiency.
Family Values, Professional Impact
As parents of five wonderful kids, our family values are at the heart of everything we do. Working from home, we combine Shannon's technical expertise with Marigold's hands-on midwifery experience to continually improve the app and its features. Since its launch, Midwife Data Community has been embraced by health professionals for its ability to present gestation data at a glance, making their work more efficient and effective.
How It All Began
Our journey began when Shannon, originally a baker, discovered a love for coding and pursued a degree in software engineering. Inspired by real-life experiences, he turned to his wife, Marigold, a dedicated midwife, for insight into the needs of midwifery professionals. With her guidance on app functionality and content, Midwife Data Community was born. Together, we created a platform that allows midwives to store and access patient data conveniently, ensuring they can focus on what matters most, providing care.
Our Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, we are expanding the app to be even more helpful and accessible to midwives worldwide. This includes adding support for more languages, integrating tools for learning institutions, and enhancing features to meet the diverse needs of midwifery practices everywhere.
